Kalada is the Chairman of Wider Perspectives Limited and a Management Consultant with over thirty years experience in Private and Public Sector Consulting. He is an expert in Economic Development, Capacity Building, Sector and Company Diagnostic, Surveys, Reviews, Strategy Design and Implementation and Sustainable Development. He has an MBA from Liverpool University.

He is also a certified trainer of trainers from international reputable organizations within and outside the Country. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria, Fellow, Nigeria Institute of Management, Certified Trainer on Business Edge one of IFC’s SME management solutions, (International Training Fellow – ITF) of the JCI University, USA and Centre for Management Development (CMD), Nigeria. He is a mentor of mentors.

His work experience includes Coopers and Lybrand Associates (Management Consultants) as Economic and Public Policy Consultant and Ernst and Whinney Consultants as Resident Consultant -Port Harcourt. He was also Consultant to the Rivers State Energy Bureau and part of a Team that developed a new Community Interface Model for a major Oil and Gas Company.

Kalada Apiafi has conducted training sessions in various parts of the world including Japan, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Denmark, Gabon, Nigeria, Ghana, Tunisia, South Africa and India.

He has been involved in a number of Development Planning including: Co – coordinating an International Workshop on Packaging SME Projects for Financing on behalf of Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) and Africa Project Development Facility (APDF), Consultancy Services to Nigeria Association of Small Scale Industrialists, Rivers State Chapter.

He co-coordinated a Highly Effective Business Writing Course for APDF, a Study on Oxygen Production, Monitoring and Supervision of Community Enterprises and Micro – Credit Schemes for a Major Oil Company, Investment Plan for a State Government, Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) Sector Study, Niger Delta Regional Development Master plan and a Lead Consultant for the 2011 Rivers State Investors Forum He also carried out Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (South – South Nigeria) for the World Bank, coordinating a Business Improvement Programme for Indigenous Contractors (BIPIC) for a Major Oil Company and International Development Agency, Development of Blueprint for One Village One Product Scheme for Northern Nigeria, Revolving Loan Scheme Management Workshops for All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Rivers State.
